This deconstructed Tropical Bird Print and denim tote is a combination a superb fabric, artisan technique, and durability.

Panels of the printed fabric are combined and hand stitched to a layer of Japanese denim following the design of the prints above. The selvedge edge of the denim is sewn to show on the outside of the bag as is the top edge, revealing both sides of the denim. Threads are selected to complement and complete the colour combinations, hand stitching both inside and out of the bag are exposed as and any raw edges and seams.

After sewing and construction, the bag is then washed and shrunk to give a warn, tactile effect, and the typical crinkle characteristic you see in antique quilting. This particular tote has circular bamboo handles hand stitched and edged with moss green glass beads.

Completed with an inside pocket, a zip pocket, riveted details, and a reinforced gusseted base, this bag is super strong, one of a kind, and totally unique.
